Story
Yum Yum Gyoza by Ayumi Ogata wouldn’t exist without her loyal customers, dedicated team, and supportive friends and family. Ayumi was raised loving and respecting food. As a child, her family owned a traditional Unagi (eel) restaurant - considered one of Japan’s delicacy foods, giving Japanese people a lot of power, especially in the summer time. Ayumi’s parents say, she loved being in the restaurant environment, interacting with the customers, helping her parents, and always sampling the food! Ayumi’s ever-growing passion to cook for her loved-ones gave birth to her small business ‘Yum Yum Gyoza’ in May 2014. Over the years, Yum Yum Gyoza has grown from its two beginning flavours of ‘Pork and Chives’ and ‘Lamb and Rosemary’ to 8 unique flavours including several plant-based options. Ayumi uses fresh, quality and local ingredients sourced from the very Farmer’s Market housing Yum Yum Gyoza. Ayumi believes in Doryoku and Kansha (hardwork and gratitude) above all things, and hopes you will taste those values in her food.
